Northwest of San D'oria, there is an area full of Orcs. This would be a great to get fire crystals. You can probably average about 3 stacks in an hour. 3 Stacks you can sell for about 3-4K gil. That is about 10K gil in an hour, not too bad for a lowbie character to start farming at.
