FFXI Rolanberry 881

Level 50+

One of the best kept secrets in FFXI, the Rolanberry 881 quest, is actually rather simple in nature, and in execution. First off, this is a quest; how ever there is no quest giver, but despair not, this actually makes it easier.

To start this HIGHLY effective gil making method:

1. Go to the Upper Jeuno grocery- It’s the first left when you enter from Batallia Downs.
   
2. Stock up on Rolanberries, Sold by the old Elvaan man behind the counter. They are 117 gil each- 5 -10 stacks of 12 is good enough.
   
3. Go to Crawlers Nest, in the Main Room, at (J-9) on the map, look for the ??? by the basket, just under the ledge where you fall down into the room.
   
4. Trade a Rolanberry to the ??? Using the Trade option on the main menu.
   
5. If it says “You trade a Rolanberry to the ???, but nothing happens” Repeat step 4.
   
6. When it just says “You trade a Rolanberry to the ???” and the “but nothing happens” part doesn’t come up, turn around and run back to the 2nd furthest right passage, and target & kill the guardian crawler.
   
7. It will drop a Rolanberry 881, and maybe even silk! (10-12K per stack!)

   Keep trading Rolanberries to the ??? until you run out of them- by the end of it you should have a very nice haul of 881s.
   
9. 
   Go to Selbina, Teleport, Chocobo, etc, and find the NPC named Vuntar, by the water, just down the main path.
   
10. 
    Trade the berries to him 1 by 1. You will receive 800 gil PER BERRY, plus Bastok Fame, PER BERRY! This is an awesome way to make bank, and get VERY high fame.
    

1. Using the Rolanberry 881 method, it is extremely possible to make one million gil in one day (Provided you have 50 inventory slots, and fill up almost all of that with rolanberries. Persistence is key).
